I just got a replacement iPhone 4 from Rogers last week. I updated it to 4.3.2 and have read that there is a bug which says "the flash cannot be used, the phone needs to be cooled down first" (that's basically what the message says)
I'm not so bothered by this as I've read this is pretty wide spread....is this happening to you too?
Try these steps to find out....
Open camera app
flip the shutter to the front camera
open the camera roll (bottom left hand corner)
press done (top right hand corner)
switch camera to the back camera view
look to the top left where the flash button is and you should now see a triangle and when you press it you'll then see the error message if your phone in fact has this bug
Now why I'm really here is I want to ask you all if when you touch the screen to focus in on something does the blue square take forever to focus and then disappear? Or does it just keep on trying to focus and never disappears unless you move your phone
Also even when using HDR my photos are turning out so crappy with the lighting and shadows...is this also happening to you too??
Please advise! Thanks.

Who thinks this is going to be a major, major update like some people are saying? With relations going ice cold with Microsoft, and Microsoft not exactly showing much interest in developing future mac apps, do you think the new version of Appleworks is going to be designed to take over for Office on OS X? It's been rumored that Office compatibility is a "major concern."

Lines are brutal. Inside and outside. Not worth it tonight if you're just planning to come. I'll try first thing tomorrow morning.. :(

iTunes #1 but it adds up! Great place to find exclusives and live recording sessions. For sampling whole songs, I'll use Limewire.

Note that bootcamp plugins are not supported for windows 7 64bit. Only 32bit version. So if you want to use your graphics card, your USB-ports, internet etc I advice to install the 32bit-version.
I have had no problem at all running 64bit Win7 Pro bootcamp, it works incredibly well (and is listed as a supported version of windows in the bootcamp documentation as well)
OP- When i installed Win7 64 on my 2010 mbp, it actually glitched on me the first time and got stuck during the installation, so I just shut it down, started it again in OS X, then deleted the bootcamp partition and started again, and it worked fine. Also- make sure you're not just creating a partition in the disk utility, but using the bootcamp utility to create the partition for windows.

Just wanted to update this thread on my experience at the Apple Store. We plugged in the monitor and immediately the red line appeared. I had previously found 4 dead pixels so figured the LCD was the culprit.
The 'genius' agreed and pulled up my monitors serial number. 34 days OUT of warranty. *****......
They guy reminds me I did not buy AppleCare and tells me it will be a slap on the wrist and they will order a new LCD and replace it, AT NO COST. $661 repair.
I LOVE APPLE!!!!
So Ive decided to keep it once I get it back and use it as a second display on my 27" iMac. Going big, not going home.
Cheers!

I plan on picking on up pretty soon. I just didn't want it to be updated right after I buy the current model. I plan on using this monitor for awhile.

New iMac can be used as a target display if another device supports Thunderbolt. It's been confirmed by Apple.

I needed to re install OS X the other day...
Now that I have, I have a strange thing going on.....occasionally....
If i leave my machine for a while & come back, wherever I drag my cursor with the mouse, it jumps/skips instantaneously to the far top right corner.
Just the mouse, the cursor control with my Wacom pen is fine...
It's an optical mouse, clean, and there's nothing set in system preferences..
Any suggestions?
The only time the mouse has jumped like you described, is when I have had the pen resting ontop of the tablet and not in the holder. Other then that, dunno?

Hi, I'm coming to you with a question on behalf of my mother, whose computer won't start up.
Early this morning we had a power outage (for a whole total of ten seconds) which, well, shut everything down including her Power Mac G5. Now it won't start up. Yes, it's plugged in, and it's connected to a surge protector.
When you press the power button you can hear the fans start, and the CD drive begin to whirr, but no sound other than that, no start up noise. We're also not getting any visuals on the monitor at all. The white light on the front of the computer begins to blink continuously, and it's a pretty fast blink, I'd say twice a second.
After searching around online, I can't figure it out, I've tried pressing the Cuda/PMU button, but no luck. Anyone have any ideas? If worst comes to worst, we'll see about taking it in to the Apple store at the mall where I work. Speaking of, I have to run off to work now, thus I won't be able to check back for a good eight hours or so, but thank you in advance!

If there is nothing you absolutely need to save on the external, you might consider re-initializing it with Disk Utility into a single partition....

You want to to play upscaled or you eant it to reencode upscaled?
Both. Mainly playing, but also reencode.
As for playing I would think VLC is technically better because you have dozens of scaling and display options. BUt it all depends on just how much you're upscaling... if you're trying to make 320x240 look like 720p you're going to be disappointed.
Can you explain me those settings? What to choose for best quality in up scaling and display?

You could try verifying the disk using disk utility to check for errors.

I had the same problem when I had my iPad 1.
I just dimmed the screen and left the screen on. You can change the settings to not have the screen auto-shut off.

Sounds like there is something running in the background that is sucking up all your CPU cycles. Take a look at activity monitor, and see if anything is taking up an unusually high amount of CPU %. Also, have you restarted lately? Installed any strange background apps that change the UI?

If the cameraman forgets that they're already live, that happens. I wouldn't really blame the cameraman since their show is so early.. :D
