Hi : I just ordered the Refurb Mac Mini with snow leopard server...I want to know whether it will come with Snow Leopard server is preinstalled or i have an option to install the server only if i need...
I am new to Mac and want to just have a vanilla Mac OS and once i get used to it i want to install the server..
While it will have the Server OS Preinstalled, and the Server OS on Recovery Disk, its likely youll be able to find a Client Edition of Mac OS X Snow Leopard to install "over" The Server Edition, and then use the Restore Disks to migrate back to the Server Edition once your used to the OS :)

Over at HardMac, a reader there has photos of the disassembly of the iMac(iSight):

Given that multi-tasking is relatively new and that iOS is still primarily focused on a single active application, it would make sense that NSProxy has not been implemented. My guess would be that this is the opposite of "deprecated": expect at some point down the road that these things will be implemented. In the meantime, you will have to work with what lower-levels are available to suit your needs.

...or someone who know's how to repair the SCSI interface IC.
I have acquired a color classic about a year ago. Since then, I have only been able to boot into it once. The CC will not recognize the internal hard drive.
I've tried swapping with another 80MB SCSI HD, and booted with the install disk, but the CC wont recognize the HD. I tried terminating the SCSI port on the rear of the machine... which seemed to allow the CC to recognize the HD. The CC was able to recognize the HD and it allowed me to begin installing System 7, but after about an hour the machine (I haven't been able to recreate this scenario since).
I've replaced the PRAM battery, which didn't help my situation at all... and I have also tried blowing out the logic board too.
After all of this, I believe that my SCSI interface chip is bad... but I don't have any experience soldering on a double sided PCB.
Does anybody have any tips on how I could/should remedy this situation?

The easiest way is to copy them over via something like a USB memory stick, CD/DVD, etc. Then merely import them into her library.
However, if you're able to I would suggest doing this.
Copy ALL of your music, videos, etc. over to your wife's Mac.
Set up a "shared" drive or folder with the Mac as the server. Then 'share' the iTunes folder.
Now on your PC, connect to her shared folder. It will most likely come up as a "drive". Once you do that, make sure you map it as a drive letter for Windows. Then hold down the SHIFT key and double click iTunes. Click "Choose Library" and then point it to the new drive letter.
After this, you will both always share the same library. So if she adds something you'll see it automatically. And the same goes for you.

Thanks very much for the guidance. I am trying to spend as little as possible to get the PB running so it's just as well.

I think asking where to download illegal software is against forum rules here as well. But yes, it would be closed even quicker at an Apple forum.
never asked for an illegal copy..

The problem is not related to increase... Delete your cores and upgrade to the new Folding version (6.24.1). I have lost almost a week of production already...

There are a few things I would kill for:
-HDMI on the iPad
-Open-Source OS X
-A unix-based Windows 8
-An Origin PC "the Big O" Triple-Boot Hackintosh
-Jailbreakme for every release
We can dream...

If you really want to use CSS then use this...

{
margin-left:65px;;
width:70px;
text-align:center;

As long as both iBooks are the same size 12" or 14", the battery is interchangeable. Only way to find out if the battery works is to try it out. But like already mentioned, it will probably be severely degraded and who knows, it could last 5 minutes or 3 hours. Just try it and find out.

Deselect "Show profiles for this display only" and select some other profiles and see if that changes anything.

sorry for my typo I indeed mean to write 24" not 27" for the 2006 model. she does a lot of electronic music mixing using the Logic software. she has about 6 different keyboards all cabled into (some way or another) the computer along with the mixer. All quite too complicated for me:) Thanks for the reply friend!

Not sure what you mean by "special" PCI slot but you will need a Mac specific video card.

I was going to be there, but the Computer and Technology Store at the UA is selling it for much less at the same time, so I'm going there, since I'm a student! :)

I've gone through many of these forums and solutions for this problem but none of them have worked. My internal speakers stopped working and this has happened before but it was solved by the easy-peasy headphone trick that is popular on those forums. But now it doesn't work. I've actually done it maybe a dozen times and it still doesn't work. I'm starting to think it's because my cat spilled water on it but I still don't think that's the case because this problem has happened before. I've tried restarting the computer and looking at the system preferences. The internal speakers don't even come up as an option on the output. Can someone help?

You can try booting from a Linux live disk like ubuntu to see if you are able to get a working desktop. You can also use this to check the hard disk and memory.

with my MBP im getting by with a 60GB SSD by OCZ (VERTEX 2) and the HD moved to the optical drive bay. Pushing the limit as far as free space goes (I have moved non-everyday applications to the HD) and like to have ~10GB Free if possible.
