Yes, FakeCarrier should work fine.
MakeItMine might also work, although, unfortunately, I didn't have any luck with this one.

Anyone find a decent, easy to use compare folders app for Snow Leopard?
I've googled and all I can find are old, not updated, or look rubbish.
I want to basically compare 2 folders (one on Mac HDD, one on a NAS), and then sync between them. Mostly the NAS one wont be updated, ie I copy my photos to Mac HDD, backup to TM, and then also another copy to NAS for safekeeping.
Has anyone found one please. Preferably free, but willing to pay for a decent program
cheers

Thanks for the feedback. I'll just stick with Netbeans for now. It works pretty well, but has it's quirks. I just like to play with new toys if they have promise.

I'm only thinking it still might be enough to stop google from using android if oracle is victorious
Oracle cannot stop Google from using/distributing Android. At most, they can tack on patent licensing costs. Push comes to shove, Android can move away from the patented technologies, and only damages would have to be paid out to Oracle.
But those licensing costs/damages just got a severe cut here. Of course, everyone who actually took a look at how Dalvik works vs the Oracle patents aren't too afraid at this point. This isn't about Android (the patent claims), only the Dalvik VM remember.

glad you're pleased with your first mac :) you'd be surprised how configurable X can be-- but the GUI is very non-configurable, Apple clearly has their own ideas about asthetics and don't mess around...
Depending on what you're wanting to do, we could probably find a way to change it :)
have fun playing with X :)

Have you googled it? If you search for "web design tutorial" or "HTML tutorial" you get literally millions of hits.

Hi guys,
The ACD 27" has 3 cables. a USB cable, displayport and also a magsafe.
So this might be a stupid questionnnn...
but once the ACD is plugged into the MacPro.. does the magsafe just hang there for no reason?
I know theyre primarily designed for the MacBook Pros.. but people who have iMacs and MacPros are left with an ugly hanging cable?
Must look pretty ugly.. its not like Apple at all..

Your link is dead and try including a little blurb about the article, just having a title and a link looks far too much like spam
EDIT: Link is now live again, weird.

How long does the keynote last? Since it doesn't start here until 5pm :(
Best thing to do is just watch it in the morning, or the next day at least.

I'm not sure if you meet the minimum specs for Fallout 1 and 2, but if you do, those should definitely be on your list! They absolutely fly on my iMac 600mhz with 1gb of RAM... if you maxed out your RAM, you should be okay.

Hmm...
Let's decide on a standard Power Mac name.
"Power Mac XYZ"
"PowerMac XYZ"
"Power Macintosh XYZ"
I think we should go with "Power Mac XYZ", since that's how Apple does it.... but I naturally write PowerMac

Lines are brutal. Inside and outside. Not worth it tonight if you're just planning to come. I'll try first thing tomorrow morning.. :(
