I did this once, and it worked fine. Apple tells you to create a new user and copy the user files over to the new user.

Apple already stated that no hardware announcements were going to come out of WWDC.
Also changing the iPad 2 so closely to the initial release makes little business sense as they'll alienate a huge segment of customers who just bought an iPad 2.

What about the UPC codes, would I need them if I wanted to bring the computer into an Apple Store or something?

Hello macrumors, like the title suggests im just curious as to when jailbreakme 4.2.1 will be released. I purchased an ipod touch 4th gen with firmware 4.2.1 aleady on there. I'd like to hear the answer to this as well. I had the exact same thing happen--I bought a used iPad, went nuts in the app store, and then went to sync it. I set it to manually manage music, and still had no luck. I have two macs, so I tried it on the other machine and the second machine transfered all the apps to the computer and let me sync music without deleting.
I have no idea what the difference was. :)

I'm not. Have you used the Samsung Galaxy S?? It's an amazing phone. I haven't used an iPhone 4, but it's similar enough to the iPhone 3Gs (with the new iOS) that I doubt a "test drive" of an iPhone 4 would convince me otherwise.
The iPad does deserve its award though. :) One reason is because there isn't any real competition for it at the moment. The other reason is because it's a good product.

I am selling a used 15" PowerBook with the specs listed below. It has been thoroughly used but it is still in good condition. As you will see in the pictures, it has the minor dents, scratches and blemishes that you would expect on a 3 year old laptop. The hard drive was replaced by Apple under warranty only a year ago. The computer is technically still under warranty although the 3-yr extended AppleCare warranty expires on July 16th (next month).

Unfortunately there aren't any docking stations for the macbook air, infact the only docking station for any mac laptop is a port replicator for the MBP. I beileve that there is a stand somewhere, but I personally don't see the need, hopefully thunderbolt will bring some interesting options. That is if its included in the next MBA.

Do a google search for InsomiaT. It's a fork of InsomniaX that has a system pref pane and works on Snow Leopard. I use it on Lion, works fine. It's in system prefs, so less menu bar clutter! :D

From a former employee (I know nobody ever believes that but OH WELL :D)...
You can have your products serviced through any genius bar. If your products require significant repairs and are very new (say less than a month old) then it is likely the products will be simply swapped out there and then for you. This is at the manager's discretion but it was a common occurrence.
However, you cannot simply return the product to the store for an exchange or refund if you have just changed your mind etc, it has to be sent back to the online store. At least this was the case in the UK.
They can swap defective products because it will go through as a genius bar service, and not through the tills as a return (very simple way of explaining it, not really any need for detail...)
