Always nice to solve a problem, isn't it? Funny that I tried to repair the database as well, to no avail, then tried the button cuz it was there...and that worked. So, maybe you have to do everything twice to cure the problem...or it is simply possessed by demons.

Well, on the plus side, the problems fixed themselves online and now it shows what it should.
Also on the plus side, TCF is being sued.

The delete button is the one with the "-" (minus).
i must be looking at the wrong thing because there is no minus sign a plus one and a ton of erase options but no minus disk utility right?

I just bought one of these to hook up to my 13" 2010 pro, and it is awesome. Really like it. Good price also.

Airport Extreme. Doesn't come with a disk. Supports HFS+. Unlike the Time Capsule, you can connect your hard drive to a Mac via USB.
Seriously, though, HFS+ is a hack, and Apple knows it. It was introduced in Mac OS 8.1, and it was never intended to be used for as long as it has been. Why do you think they tried to put UFS in 10.0 and ZFS into Leopard? From what I've read, ZFS would be a much better file system to be interested in.

I use VLC for pretty much everything. I really dig the look and feel of Quicktime X, but it's incompatible with so many formats that I just suck it up and stick with the tried and true.

Unfortunately there aren't any docking stations for the macbook air, infact the only docking station for any mac laptop is a port replicator for the MBP. I beileve that there is a stand somewhere, but I personally don't see the need, hopefully thunderbolt will bring some interesting options. That is if its included in the next MBA.

i hate sync with a passion. who the hell wants to navigate your music library using the indash radio? it's an arduous task even when using the Ford Edge / Lincoln MKX LCD touch screen. why the hell does Apple program the iPad to lock up when connected to sync?

Found my solution!
I had a logitech z 340 speaker system plugged into it and since unplugging it, the G5 has not gave me any problems. Not sure how the speaker system was giving it problems though

I was looking for a cheaper alternative, but in the end has to fork out good money and got CadTools for CS5...
Not to get all preachy on you here, (:o ) but if it contributes to your earning a crust it is worth buying
Who knows, you may even find use for the stuff you think you don't need.

Have you tried a soft reset? You can perform this by holding the home button and the lock button together for around ten seconds the Phoebe would automatically switch off and restart displaying the apple logo for around another 20 seconds, in normal cases that would resolve your issue if not I would try to restore the iPhone via iTunes.
Hope that helps.

Hi everyone... I have a new-ish macbook running snow leopard.... i used to use a windows computer too so i partitioned my 1TB external hard drive, 450gb NTFS and 550GB FAT32. and then soon after stopped using windows all together. I use the FAT32 to play films on my ps3..
Now i have completely filled up my FAT32 partition, and need to re format my NTFS partition to FAT32 so i can start using that too..... i haven't got a spare hard drive to put all of the data on, and there isnt enough space to temporarily store it on my mac.
All i need to know basically is if you can format separate partitions of an external hard drive without losing the data on the other partition and how to do it!! im too scared to just try it because this would obviously cause great great frustration if i were to lose 6 months worth of downloads and stuff! :(
thanks in advance for your help!

Even if Mac OS X shows you have 120GB of free HDD capacity, the 120GB might be scattered around the HDD, and Boot Camp needs to create a continuous partition, which might not be possible if the data is scattered. You could try to defragment your HDD with iDefrag or reinstall Mac OS X completely, with re-creating the Macintosh HD partition.
Why do you need to repair the HDD via Disk Utility?

No, don't need TinyUmbrella, though it's really the easiest way to grab a copy of your SHSH for safekeeping on your computer.
No, jailbreaking doesn't cause permanent damage, you can always restore.
Yes, the latest iTunes is jailbreak safe.

No reply?
That's a song by the Beatles.
Could I play it through bookshelf speakers, connected to a receiver, connected to the Mac via usb 2.0 with the above device?
Yes. So long as the issue with your headphone jack isn't anything beyond the headphone jack.
That device, from the product description should do what you want it to do.

It depends how you look at this...
On the one hand, we have a guy who's potentially lost $$$ by having his image used without permission.
On the other hand, we have a guy who's got a load of publicity from having a popular and recognisable image out there... a guy who's now immigrated into the US and launched a career as a photographer.
Maybe if he'd slapped a big copyright notice on his files and kept them locked up, noone would have used them or asked to pay for them... so no publicity, no success?

Hello. I have a battery from an iBook G3 that has not been used in over a year. It has been sitting in my closet because my iBook died due to the dreaded graphics card problem. My buddy has an iBook G3 and I was wondering if the battery would hold charge after sitting for a year. The last time I used it, it could hold about 2 1/2 hours.
