Find out what platform your friend is editing on. The only reason he should ask for AIC is if he's using iMovie or FCE to edit, or a version of FCP older than 6.0. Otherwise, there's no reason not to use ProRes.

Another thing you can try (although I can't attest to the results) is duplicating one of the AIC presets in FCP and customizing it for your video's parameters. I would imagine that you should be able to force a 1920x1080 frame with square pixels and a 30p frame rate. I'm just not sure what the field dominance setting (if any) would be for your camera. You'll want to investigate that.

There are lay-ins from either smalldog or radtech that work well. They work to simply cover the keys from contacting the screen (especially keeping your finger oils off of it) which will help to avoid the bright squares some people have on their screens.

I used Greenpois0n RC6 for my ipod touch 2g MC model... worked perfectly...
just download greenpoison, run it, then turn your ipod completely off (while plugged in), press start in greenpoison and follow their very simple instructions.
Once done it will reboot the ipod and you'll have a Loader app on your springboard, use that to install cydia

*if the loader crashes (automatically closes when you open it) its because you didnt use the right version of greenpoison. Get the correct one, restore, then redo the jailbreak with the newest version of Greenpois0n

I was wondering if any one would know how to get a hold of any of these OS install discs?
Getting started with ancient Apples 101:

You can find Apple II and /// operating system disk images here:

You can browse the disk contents with a viewer like CiderPress (http://ciderpress.sourceforge.net) or AppleCommander (http://applecommander.sourceforge.net)

You can boot and run the Apple II disks with any of various emulators - AppleWin (http://applewin.berlios.de/), Virtual ][ (http://www.virtualii.com/), GSport (http://gsport.sourceforge.net/), etc.

Running the /// images is a little trickier. There are a couple of /// emulators out there, but both suffer from problems that make them less than ideal: Sara (http://www.blackcatsystems.com/software/sara.html) and MESS (http://mess.redump.net/mess:drivers:apple3:apple3).

If you had a real Apple II or ///, you could bootstrap it from bare metal like this (http://adtpro.sourceforge.net/bootstrap.html) or like this (http://adtpro.sourceforge.net/bootstrap3.html).

Hi,
Last time I opened my iPhone 3G to clean the lens of the camera because there were some brown spots on it (Don't ask me how lol). After putting the iPhone back together (It wasn't my first time.) I tried to start it and nothing happened. Then I tried connecting it to the computer and nothing happened. Then I tried putting it in DFU mode and I tried to restore it but when I restored it I got Restore error 21.
Anyone knows what wrong?

have downloaded a third party application ( from majorgeeks site....got there via some thread in microsoft )for spell check - easy and it works ! only downside for me is its US english and not uk english - if anyone finds a third party download for Uk english I'd be really grateful....and I really do NOT want to emigrate to windows live to resolve all this as I like OE and am so used to it, and have lots of folders all set up in my OE accounts

Well, to be fair to the OP, you can get Xcode 4.01 from the App Store for $4.99 on any Mac without agreeing to an NDA or any of the iOS/OSX developer program rules.

I agree that a patching system would make a huge difference, especially at this early stage of Xcode 4.x's development. I expect we'll see frequent updates as features are finalized and issues are discovered and cleared.

Hi, I just got a new iPhone. I'm very happy with the way I have my iPod/iTunes organized and would like to have iTunes sync with my iPod and iPhone so that all three mirror each other when I plug in each device. Ex: have all my playlists on my current iPod/iTunes transfer over to the iPhone, and when I download new songs and drag them to the appropriate playlist in iTunes, have the downloaded song transfer to both the iPhone and iPod when I sync.

I am very confused on how to achieve this. It seems like most threads I've researched discuss having separation between the devices. I'd like them to match. Any advice would be much appreciated!

And one more related question - yesterday I downloaded a song in iTunes from my iPhone. I tried to drag the song over to my iPod playlist in iTunes and it would not drag over. It is possible to download songs from iTunes on the iPhone and transfer them to the iPod, right? I'd like to know how to do this as well (again, I guess it would all be part of that "mirroring" process I described above). Thanks in advance...

I have an iPhone 3G (not jailbroken), and I run Windows. Is there any way to save a voicemail from the iPhone to my computer? I thought I read there is Mac software that can extract voicemails from iTunes backups, is there anything for Windows?
