I would open the computer up: check to see if it has RAM, Hard Drive, and of course you will need an old Mac OS we are talking pre OS 7 must be on floppy discs. To be honest unless you have an old Mac OS like version 2-4.0 I doubt you will be able to get it running at all.
Cheers
Incorrect. It doesnt need an OS to display the Mac "?" Logo. And that Mac can run Mac OS 7. Just very slowly. Id open it up, and carefully check to see if any of the Capacitors have burst and check it does have some RAM (Although even without RAM it should beep). - Id also ask at the 68K Macintosh Liberation Army (Google 68kmla) - The people there may have much better ideas on how to get it up and running again :)

the proper link can be hard to find, so here it is (http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/abiword/AbiWord-2.2.0.dmg.gz).
this has made great improvements over the 2.1 betas. the interface is much more aquified than the older versions and all of the tools are now available in a floating palette instead of the very pc-ish toolbar! this one also seems to be much more stable than the 2.1 betas. TextEdit usually takes care of the majority of my text editing needs, but for the times i need a full word processor i use abiword. i'd say this new version may very well have me using it for everything. i recommend that everybody try this out, you'll be impressed. once the ms word import plug-in works, i think abiword will really take off on the mac.

Should I have restored to factory first? I don't want useless or corrupted files on the phone. Does it matter?

Yes, I'd like to know about this too, so that I can have my boyfriend tape it for me while I'm at work! :D
That sounds too good to be true though...

That new little Nano sure is ADORABLE!!! BUT I would be worried about hurting that cure lil' touch screen if you're training hard...If it were me, I'd get the previous nano (which I have and am passing on to my niece soon). As for ear phones, I can NEVER get the in-ear ones to stay in my ears. So really, I'm no help, I just wanted to comment:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I'm thinking of buying a laptop and the iPad 2 through Apple's online store. If I have problems with the units, can I exchange or return them through one of Apple's physical brick and mortar store?
Yes, you can take them to the physical stores for service. As far as exchanges, the BTO Macs are not all available in stores, so it depends on the configuration.

Did you every run TinyUmbrella or similar tools on your Mac? Check your /etc/hosts file and make sure there's not an entry for an gs.apple.com. Or if there is an entry, that it starts with a #.
No, I even tried it on multiple computers. Just kind of pisses me off that their servers are down and I can't use my $8XX iPad that I have been waiting a month on.

Lossless definitely sounds better than 192Kbps mp3 encoding, when there is a good source. The file size will always be larger since it doesn't lose any quality.

That makes the most sense to me as well.
But is there any actual proof of it because I'm going to need something to prove the point in the debate I'm having.

Hello all,
One of my goals for the year is to start using after effects. I'd like to create motion backgrounds that my church can use. I've played around with it a bit, but I know that I am going about things all wrong. I'm really wanting to learn how to use it correctly.
Does anyone know of some good learning resources (websites/books) that they might recommend? I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks
-jon

That's pretty lucky, technically your warranty was void with the ipad baseband.
Also remember once you have the ipad 6.15 baseband you must always use a custom firmware that doesnt update the baseband. All normal IPSW files will fail after doing ipad baseband.

To make this simple and easy ... you are almost there ... you must start the file as the final size being 18x12 300 dpi and make sure you are doing it as CMYK.
You will also be able to reduce them later for smaller prints.
when you want to print ... save the file as a High Quality PDF file.
That is it.
Good luck ... and the Posters look really good, you have some nice Design Talent.
cheers

On that phone i think it is stuck to the back of the digitizer isn't it? If so you seperate them some how. Should be some writeups somewhere, maybe even some youtube videos even.

The rubber coming off is more than a cosmetic issue. It's a functional issue as well. While I can't guarantee it, I'm willing to bet that Apple will help you out here.

don't worry about the custom option, simply type in the width and height you want for your new document, the app will then realise that this is a custom size.

My old 400 tiBook, used to do that, it did it a little more theolder it got, the 17 does it a little, but with the auto-light adjuster it's always a little difficult to tell.
I'd say it was pretty normal.

Those type of settings are typically part of a printer driver. I am assuming your home printer and school printer are different, that could be your problem.
As a start, what printer is at home, and what is at school (ie if you have an HP printer at home, missing the Epson page setup is unsurprising).
